Maharashtra: ‘1 per cent stamp duty cut likely to push up property sales’

The 1% cut would result into 4% stamp duty (5% (Prevailing rate)-1%(cut)) and 1% metro cess. Buyers are required to pay net 5% stamp duty instead of 6%.
