Driveway width for one way maneuvering shall be minimum 3.0 m in width for straight alignment and 3.90 m in width for turning portion. Two way maneuvering shall be of 6.0 m in width for straight alignment & 7.50 m at turning portion.
Gate should be of minimum 3.50 m for one way access and 6.0 m for two way (Entry-Exit). Minimum width of the passage from Gate to Entrance lobby/ Staircase shall be 3.0 m.
Car lift shall be of minimum 3.30 m X 6.0 m to accommodate all kind of vehicle. Minimum 5.0 m unobstructed open space shall be provided in front of car lift hoist.
Ramp shall have maximum 45 m of continuous length. Mid lending of minimum 6.0 m length shall be provided at the interval of maximum 45.0 m travel distance. In case of U turn proposed on the ramp, inner dia shall be of 5.50 m turning radius. In case of plot abutting three roads, ramp shall be allowed on front marginal open space of the road having least width ingress and egress.
Mechanical parking systems like, Stack/Pit/Rotary/Puzzle/Tower having more than 4.50 m height above G.L. may be proposed at least 1.50 m away from the compound wall on all side except front open space. Front open space shall be minimum of 5.0 m for big cars and 4.0 m for small cars. It should be proposed along the dead wall only up to height of the building.
Traffic impact analysis is required in case of more than 2000 car parks.
