Allowing Garbage Chute with/without garbage/refuge shaft in proposed/ UC residential buildings with opening on each habitable floor under DCPR 2034

  • Garbage Chute shall be 1.20m X 1.20m for building height up to 32 m. A service slab of 0.60 M width at floor level.
  • Garbage Chute shall be 2.40m X 2.40m for building height from 32 m to 70 m. A service slab of 1.20 M width at floor level.
  • Garbage Chute shall be 3.0m X 3.0m for building height above 70m. A service slab of 1.50 M width at floor level.
  • 10 Sqm area for the collection of the garbage on ground floor/ stilt/1st level basement shall be permissible free of FSI.
  • Garbage shaft shall be accessible from common passage/ corridors such as floor landing, mid landing level of staircase. It can be abutting to lift, between lift and staircase, abutting to other utility service ducts (Except electrical duct). 
  • Alternative shapes shall be allowed, however the total area shall not be more than permissible area.
